These beauty cases were all the rage in the 80s, but Caboodles needed help breaking these cases into the modern market. We needed to bridge the gap of our older audience who grew up with Caboodles while also appealing and presenting to a new, young audience who were just now being introduced to the brand.
We crafted a vibrant, captivating, and nostalgic feel that permeated all our photography and design elements, ensuring an unmistakably Caboodles look. Our brand voice, colors, and props were carefully curated to evoke a sense of nostalgia for our older audience, while seamlessly integrating modern elements to resonate with the retro feel appreciated by our younger audience.
By studying our audience, we curated an impactful social media presence by capturing content that resonates with viewers—such as nostalgic elements, collaborations with retro brands, and the infusion of our brand values like women empowerment, diversity inclusion, and organized lifestyles.
Results Example: The Pioneering Black Women post (middle image) reached 13,000 users, 10,000 of those being non-followers.
Caboodles was looking to boost sluggish e-commerce sales as they transitioned from wholesale to Direct-to-Consumer.
Our solution was to bolster their online presence by capturing consistent and on-brand e-commerce photography, develop regular homepage design updates to showcase new lines, and to strategically invest in paid media.
Our photography and insights were then poured into National Digital Paid Search Campaigns, Display Ads, Google Shopping Campaigns, Google Local Campaigns, and Social Media Campaigns (FB, IG)
When looking for brands who were thriving on putting a new spin
on a retro product, Crocs came to the top. This brand collaboration was a match made in heaven and the 90s Dream Team was born.
With a very similar target audience, this nostalgic collaboration took off with the Crocs Doodle Caboodle launch post having a reach of over 21k across all platforms and received 900 engagements.
In this exciting collab, I had the opportunity to be involved in every step of the process. For the vibrant Jojo Neon Nights Caboodles Collection, my role extended from pitching product colors to crafting and sourcing inserts, capturing photography, assembling packaging, and even creating webpages to showcase and promote the line.
